2018 Deep Sea Chardonnay, "Seaturtle"
This Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is sourced from an acclaimed Los Alamos Vineyard site. Original cuttings for this vineyard were brought over from Europe 25 years ago. Our Chardonnay was stainless steel fermented, and then transferred to a combination of new and neutral oak barrels for 3 months. The barrel breakdown is roughly 70% New, 30% neutral. 100% malo-lactic fermentation. Elegant and light, with vibrant aromas of key lime, meyer lemon and green apple. Fresh acidity and the subtle influence of the French oak barrels complement the tropical and citrus notes in this modern style of Chardonnay.
