Our 2017 Chardonnay is elegant and bright, with vibrant aromas of Lemon, Lime, Golden Apple and Pear. Fresh acidity and a whisper of French Oak complement the Citrus flavors in this light, modern style of Chardonnay. We have come to love sourcing from vineyards within the Santa Maria Valley, and greater Santa Barbara County-this wine is a wonderful example of the excellent flavors of this region.
This Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is sourced from an acclaimed Los Alamos Vineyard site. Our Chardonnay was stainless steel fermented, and then transferred to a combination of new and neutral oak barrels for 3 months. The barrel breakdown is roughly 70% New, 30% neutral. 100% malo-lactic fermentation. Elegant and light, with vibrant aromas of key lime, meyer lemon and green apple. Fresh acidity and the subtle influence of the French oak barrels complement the tropical and citrus notes in this modern style of Chardonnay.
