“…one of the better Mourvèdres in California. Dry and softly tannic, it offers comforting and complex flavors of berries, cherries, cocoa, pepper and cedar, with exotic notes of roasted coconut, tamari‐sautéed wild mushrooms and balsamic… ” - Wine Enthusiast August 2009
The nose on our 2007 Mourvèdre is wonderfully earthy with notes of sage, cedar, forest floor, prunes, Eucalyptus. The wine has a soft tannin structure with very nice acidity and mid-palate flavors of sandalwood, black and red fruits and fresh mushrooms, and finishes slow, long and rich.
